Mercy Associate Pilgrimage
Posted: 20-Mar-2016

AYear of Mercy has been proclaimed by Pope Francis.

He has written:
"The practice of Pilgrimage has a special place in this year of Mercy because it represents the journey each of us makes in our own life."

The MERCY ASSOCIATES invite you to join them on a Pilgrimage.

WHERE?
To the ACADEMY of MARY IMMACUlATE - Nicholson St. Fitzroy.
It was the first Sisters of Mercy establishment in Victoria.

WHEN?
Wednesday 20th APRIL, 2016.

WHY GO THERE?
On this Pilgrimage we will travel, reflect, pray and talk together on mercy and compassion in our lives and the world today.

Catherine McAuley was the founder of the Sisters of Mercy and Ursula Frayne was one of Catherine's early companions in Dublin.
Ursula led a group of Sisters to Australia and established works of mercy and compassion in Melbourne.

We will visit Ursula's grave, memorial chapel and creation windows and have a tour of The Academy.
