National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) 2017-2018

Are you an enthusiastic Year 11 student who has an interest in a future in the diverse fields of science, engineering or technology? YES!

THEN ..... you need to explore the possibility of attending the National Youth Science Forum where you will meet a range of engineers, scientists and researchers, visit them at work and do the kinds of things they do every day as well as debate the hottest topics in science and engineering, experience university life and get to know other students from around Australia.

NYS is a unique 12-day program. Two sessions run at the Australian National University in Canberra and a third in Brisbane in January 2018. Each offers 200 places to students from all around Australia as well to a small number of International students.

For further information please contact Ivanka Saric or visit the website http://www.nysf.edu.au  We can also try to arrange for a student who has attended the NYSF to come in and talk to interested students. Please let Ivanka know if you are interested.

You will need to find a Rotary Club who will support and provide some assistance to fund your application as there is a cost of $3097 to attend.

You will need to submit your application online. Applications must be lodged with your supporting Rotary Club by May 31st 2017. An interview which is part of the selection process will then occur.

It’s a great experience! We encourage you to consider putting in an application.
