100th Anniversary of Remembrance Day
Last Sunday marked the 100th Anniversary of the signing of the Armistices to signal the end of World War 1. At the Ballarat commemoration service, the Damascus College community was represented by our College Captains Milly Frost and Matthew Snibson. In a moving ceremony our students were reminded of the sacrifice that many young men and women made in wartime. This was made evident through the narratives of returned soldier William Alexander Wilkie who enlisted at the age of 18 and Sister Anne Donnell who served in hospitals in France and England. Lest we forget.
