Teacher Advisors and Homeroom Teachers

Teacher Advisors and Homeroom Teachers are the first port of call for students. The first gathering of each day is during teacher advisor/homeroom group time when the teacher advisor/homeroom teacher and a small group of students from the various year levels at each campus meet to hear the daily messages, pray and reflect, discuss issues, participate in activities or complete student administration.

The Teacher Advisor/Homeroom Teacher is accountable to the House Leader and is responsible for the pastoral care of the students of their teacher advisor group/homeroom.

One important dimension of the teacher advisor/homeroom system is that the teacher fosters among the students a team spirit that is reflected in the manner in which students relate to one another and in their participation in teacher advisory group/homeroom, house and college activities.
