Communitas Award
Service within Community - Damascus College Past Student Award
Damascus College wishes to establish the tradition of recognising the achievements of past students of our college, including each of our amalgamated schools; Sacred Heart College, St Martin’s in the Pines, St Paul’s Technical College and Damascus College.
At present, via the past student website, each student has the opportunity to complete their own biography page detailing news of their current life involvements.
We wish to further recognise past students who have made a significant contribution in their chosen field of endeavour or involvement in the community.
The “Communitas” award may be given to a graduate who has displayed outstanding leadership, in a high profile field of endeavour, or to a graduate who has given outstanding service in their local community.
We aim to:
- feature the nominee in The Road, Damascus College’s past student magazine
- dedicate a page to each recipient on the Past Student Website
- display the achievements of the nominee at the college so as to inspire current students
- celebrate the work at an annual past student social event
We encourage you to consider nominating those past students of the college who you believe have made a significant contribution in their chosen field of endeavour.
Nominations may be made by email to connecting@damascus.vic.edu.au or by obtaining a nomination form from the school office.
The award will be publicly celebrated at a function hosted by the college and past student association.
