Guest Speaker Parent Evening

7pm, John Shannon Centre

Speaker: Hugh van Cuylenburg from The Resilience Project

This year's guest speaker event will be run by The Resilience Project, a Melbourne-based company whose presentations focus on building resilience in children. The parent information session is a 90 minute seminar on practical strategies to support the development of a resilient child.

Hugh van Cuylenburg has been studying and working in education for over 12 years. Motivated by his sister’s battles with mental ill-health, Hugh founded The Resilience Project with the vision ‘to help young Australians be mentally healthy’. The parent information evening presents an opportunity for parents to learn how they can support the work Hugh will be undertaking with our students in May on building resilience. Based on the latest research, parents will hopefully walk away from this session with some practical strategies to use at home. Hugh is a well-recognised speaker and his information sessions have been described as “life changing”. We strongly recommend parents come along to this event.

Whilst this even is FREE, tickets are required as numbers are limited.
