Influenza Update

There are many indications that 2019 will be a particularly bad flu season and we have already received notification of at least one confirmed case of Influenza A from within our school community.

With this in mind I would like to encourage all students and staff who are unwell with flu like symptoms to take them seriously. If you are suspect you may have the flu, please visit your doctor and if you are too unwell to come to school please wait until you are well enough, or your doctor clears you to return.

Immunisations are the best way to avoid Influenza and we can also try to avoid spreading viruses like influenza by: not sharing food and drinks, cover your mouth and nose with the crook of your elbow if you cough or sneeze, dispose of tissues appropriately and maintain good hand hygiene.
