Sustainable Racing Team

This morning the Damascus staff, students and parents gathered at the Damascus Energy Breakthrough shed to celebrate and launch a new era, as the Sustainable Racing Team (SRT).

The SRT (formerly EBT) has a long 20 year tradition of engaging students and providing a wonderful sense of community, with the motto ADIMOV: Adapt, Improvise and Overcome.

On display were the four vehicles that the team have built this year, and they recently gave them a test run at the race at Dimboola.  Attendees were treated to a lovely pancake breakfast and coffee, made fresh from the Damascus VCAL Coffee van.

The SRT is always looking for new members, so if you are a student of Damascus and would like to get involved, please contact staff member Alan Strange.

The morning ended with a lovely prayer entitled 'EBT Gratitude Prayer' written by Alan Strange and spoken by Tony Haintz. It is as follows:-

Creative God in whom we trust

We pray today our Prayers of Gratitude

The response today is …

Creative God we give thanks
