A Successful Weekend

This weekend (Saturday 26th) we kicked off out first regatta of the season with the seniors rowing at Head Of The Goulburn, which is a 7.2 km head race. We all started at the Nagambie course where we rowed around to the Goulburn river to start. We then rowed down to Tahbilk where we finished at a beautiful winery that had lots of food trucks!

In the senior squad we had a female quad who raced in the school girls open division 2 with Kat Caldow, Evie Sargisson, Matilda Lloyd, Marli Dockerill and Liv Reyntjes coxing. We also had a mixed quad who raced in the male open division 2 with Paris Murrell, Charlotte Grimes, Bailey Wilson, Tom McKay and Morgan McCann coxing. Both crews came second and did really well considering the tough conditions. A bit later on in the day we also had Charlotte Ashley and Angus Shillito compete in male and female C grade single sculls respectively who smashed out their races in the rough water.

Everyone did a fantastic job and worked hard considering how tough the conditions were!! (40+ km winds)

Next Saturday we have the whole rowing squad racing here at lake wendouree so if your around please come cheer us on!!

Thanks!!!
