South Street Choral Contest
Posted: 29-Aug-2016

The Damascus College Choir attended the Royal South Street Choral contest on Monday 22nd August. A total of 18 students accompanied by Liam Penn, Rebecca McColl and Jesse Bucknell performed two songs ‘Viva La Vida’ and ‘Blue Moon’ in the Standard Secondary Choir Competition. The performance was confident and energetic and we received positive feedback as well as a Silver Standard ranking. A big congratulations is extended to all participants for their hard work.

The Damascus College Choir is open to all students regardless of experience and rehearses each Wednesday at lunchtime. It’s a great experience for students to sing together and perform and it’s not uncommon for new friendships to be formed across year levels through being a part of this group!

Students can see or email Mrs Maria Russell if they have any questions or would like to join!
