"DAMASCUS College student Talia Nestor is really interested in studying nursing-paramedicine in university.  To make sure the course is the right fit for her, Talia spent the morning immersed in campus life at Australian Catholic University’s Ballarat campus on Thursday.  Talia was among more than 70 high school students, from years 10 to 12, taking up ACU’s University Experience in the mid-year break.  Potential students had the chance to take a campus tour and spend time with teachers in small groups before open days and preferences open.

Students also had hands-on workshops in their area of interest: nursing-paramedicine, education and physiotherapy. For Talia meant time in an ambulance and working with mannequin patients.  “It’s really good find out lots about the course,” Talia said. “I did this day last year and wanted to have another look.”  The experience day potential students from as far as Mildura, Horsham and Melbourne for a taste of university life, including lunch, at ACU Ballarat."
