The Damascus College uniform is a visible expression of our shared identity and sense of belonging. Worn with pride, it represents our College community and helps create a sense of unity among our students.
Uniform Expectations
Students are expected to take pride in their presentation and wear the complete College uniform while at school, travelling to and from the College, and attending College functions, unless otherwise advised.
If a student is unable to meet the uniform requirements on a particular day, a parent or carer should provide a written note explaining the reason.
The Official 2026 Damascus College Uniform
- College dress (knee-length)
- Dark grey tailored shorts with belt loops
- Long dark grey tailored school pants
- College skirt
- Gold short/long sleeve shirt with pointed collar
- Plain black belt with small buckle (with shorts, pants, and shirt only)
- White socks with school stripes (dress), grey socks with stripes (shorts, pants)
- V-neck navy pullover with logo
- Navy blue blazer
- Black polishable leather lace-up shoes (no T-bars or slip-ons)
- Optional striped navy blue tie (maroon tie for Year 12)
- Navy blue thick tights (skirt only, no sheer stockings)
- Dark grey shorts with belt loops - transition from Light grey shorts until Term 1 2028
- Long dark grey school pants
- Grey socks with stripes
- White short or long-sleeve shirt (tucked in)
- Striped navy blue tie (compulsory with both sleeve lengths)
- Striped maroon tie (Year 12 only)
- V-neck navy pullover with logo
- Navy blue blazer
- Black polishable leather lace-up shoes
- Plain black belt with small buckle (shorts and trousers)
- The blazer must be worn to and from school on all days**
- Students are not required to wear the blazer to and from class, or during class
- The blazer must be worn to all formal events, school photographs and all school excursions
** On days when the Ballarat temperature is forecast to be 26 degrees or more, as published on SIMON, students are not required to wear the blazer

- Sports Shoes - the permitted style of the footwear is a cross training or running shoe that provides appropriate heel support and cushioning (no canvas or volleys). Pictures of appropriate shoes is provided below.
- College hat/cap (compulsory in Terms 1 and 4)
The following accessories are permitted:
- College back pack (compulsory)
- College bucket hat – must not be worn inside
- College cap – must not be worn inside
- College rain jacket (optional and available only at Dobsons) – can only be worn to and from school over the blazer in inclement weather and can be worn at recess and lunch. It is not to be worn instead of the blazer. Rain Jackets are not permitted to be worn in the classroom.
- Navy or maroon hair ties and ribbons. No other coloured hair ribbons (white, yellow) are permitted.
- Navy College scarf with Damascus colours
- Navy or maroon gloves
- Students are permitted to wear a single clear nasal stud (no nasal rings) and up to two studs or sleepers in each earlobe (jewelled studs or sleepers are not permitted). Tongue piercings are not permitted.
- All hair that reaches shoulder length, must be worn fully tied back from the face. Hair that is only partially tied back is not permitted.
The following accessories are not permitted:
- Nail polish
- Cosmetics
- Jewellery and piercings apart from those mentioned above
- Hats and scarves, other than the regulation school hat and scarf
- Any hair colour that is deemed synthetic e.g. green, blue, pink etc

Introducing our new 2027 College uniform
From 2027, Damascus College will begin the introduction of a new College uniform, designed to provide students with a contemporary, practical and flexible uniform while retaining the colours and identity of Damascus College.
The new uniform includes refreshed Academic and Sport collections, with a trans-seasonal approach that provides students with greater flexibility and choice throughout the year.
Transition to the new uniform
The new uniform will be introduced gradually from 2027 to 2030, allowing families to make use of existing uniform items and transition to the new uniform over time.
2027 – Year 7 students and all students new to Damascus College in Years 7–11 will wear the new uniform.
2028 – Years 7 and 8
2029 – Years 7, 8 and 9
2030 – All students
Students in other year levels may choose to transition to the new uniform earlier. During the transition period, students should wear either the complete current uniform or the complete new uniform for each collection, rather than combining items from the two designs.
Academic and Sport uniforms may be transitioned separately, allowing families to replace items as required.

The new uniform will be available to purchase through Noone's from November 2026.
