27 November
On Tuesday 26th November, the Damascus College Class of 2024 marked a significant milestone in their lives with a heartfelt graduation celebration, beginning with a special Mass followed by a dinner.
The Mass was led by Fr Matthew Restall, who delivered a moving liturgy that resonated deeply with all in attendance. He acknowledged the considerable time these young individuals have dedicated to their education, while also shining a light on the bright future ahead of them.
Among the special guests at the Mass were the graduates' family and friends, along with Marie Davey RSM, Executive Director of Catholic Education Ballarat, Tom Sexton, and Damascus College Principal Mr Steven Mifsud. Many staff members were also present to extend their best wishes on this momentous occasion.
After the Mass, graduates were called up in their House groups to receive their graduation packs, along with a seedling to plant. This gesture symbolises the beginning of their new journey as they transition from students to alumni of Damascus, a community they will always be a part of.
The celebration continued with a special graduation dinner held at the Mercure, where memories were shared and futures were toasted.
